Marc Héliès is a French painter, born in 1964, he lives and works in Paris. He studied visual arts.
At the age of seventeen, Marc Héliès came across a book by the famous artist Caspard David Friedrich, this is when his passion for painting came to life. Once graduated, he began painting in acrylic. In his initial paintings, he portrays tormented faces through a disturbing violence.
Since then, he has also created several drawings, using a palette of brighter colors and draws inspiration from nature by representing birds and flying insects.
