Claudine Barclais

Born in 1977, Claudine Barclais is an intuitive, energetic painter. She uses "the breath of life, lights and colors" to create.

Between spontaneity and technicality, improvisation and energies, her experiments allow her to explore, among others, the differences between rational behavior and intuitive actions, but also to build a singular universe born of the exploration of the unknown, visible or invisible.

Claudine Barclais' work questions the soul, language and the powers of representation.  

It's never so much a question of figuring reality as of opening up a breach where parallel time can unfold. Her work shows and questions the pareidolia, chance and mechanisms that govern our gaze.
