Narcis Gironell

Narcís Gironell is an artist with a long and recognized path who has his own register inspired by pop music, advertising iconography, cinema, urban culture, Japanese style, and popular stories, etc ... The result is a work of a joyful and luminous appearance, a colorful and luxurious universe with an ironic and sinister undertone. His works speak of visual archives of contemporary society with its consumerist tics, its continual promises, its clichés of perfection and health. All these seductive and artificial images hide a double moral that can be read between the lines of innocence, beauty and perfection, like a promise of something dark and carnal. Born in 1969 in Beuda (Girona), he studied at the Higher School of Art and Leisure Llotja in Barcelona and at the Eina Escola de Arte i Disseny in Barcelona.
