This impressive artwork presents a captivating portrait of a woman with a piercing gaze. The composition uses thin, parallel lines to create a dynamic and almost hypnotic visual effect. The artist subtly plays with light and shadow to give depth to the face, accentuating the powerful and mysterious features of the subject. The main hues oscillate between blue and purple, bathing the figure in an almost unreal atmosphere. These cold and metallic colors contrast with the bright red flashes that trace two distinctive lines on the woman's cheeks and a central point on her forehead, adding a touch of mysticism and symbolism. Ludovic Ponze (known as L. Ponze) born in 1983 in eastern France, where he still lives today.
From an early age he shows an attraction for drawing, his favorite hobby is also to draw his favorite manga characters. Later, as a teenager, he also tried graffiti on the walls of his city.
However, L. Ponze did not follow a school course in the plastic arts, and for several years he stopped all artistic activities. His passion, however, was still present and latent.
It was in the early 2000s that he returned to painting, by chance, when a friend lent him an airbrush.
: it was a revelation for him. He understood that this technique opened up a multitude of possibilities. This is how he produced his first canvases with clean lines and spherical shapes which opened the door to a first gallery.
Later, in a search for perpetual evolution but also in a quest for challenge, he decided to change support. After several tests, he finally stopped on Plexiglass which allowed him to paint even sharper thanks to the under glass technique. Later, still in this desire for evolution, he decided to also paint on the front of the plate in order to add an additional dimension to his works.
L. Ponze is therefore a self-taught artist in constant search of novelty in order to express in an ever new way his passion for art.
