Presentation
Jose Ladron de Guevara works in oil, charcoal, graphite and pastel. He is fascinated by trying to capture a fleeting moment in his paintings and to portray the essence of energy and movement.
Conceptually his work is about liberation as human beings through conscious acts, of becoming aware of our state. Through movement and the medium of soap and water my characters perform an act of internal cleansing.
Jose has exhibited his work widely throughout Spain and this is his first exhibition in London. He was born in Malaga in 1979 and lives and works in Spain.
He graduated in 2003 at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Granada, specializing in the fields of painting, drawing and photography.
