Presentation
Following on from Turn the Corner (2013) and 545 Days (on his authorship, in 2015), Scrolling Era is Robert Proch's third exhibition produced with Galerie Openspace. The Parisian gallery has fervently supported the young Polish artist for five years and is proud to be able to exhibit this new series of works focusing on our ultra-modern society, putting technology, information and communication at the forefront. Robert Proch thus questions the existence and status of social ties today. The exhibition presents a total of 26 works (paintings on canvas, wood sculptures and inks and watercolors on paper) and marks a new stage in the career of this young and already renowned international artist. Faced with the expansion of technology in our daily and professional lives, and this even within the contemporary world art scene, Robert Proch wishes to privilege technical know-how, with an increasingly successful painting work on canvas. This third exhibition marks the artist's confrontation with a new medium: wood. He thus endeavors to transpose his pictorial universe in 3D with a work of traditional sculpture in high relief, with cutting and assemblies of wood painted by hand.
