Biography
Marcel Lempereur-Haut (1898-1986), member of the Vouloir group (Kupka, Del Merle, etc.) then of the Musicalists, created a work centered on geometry and ornament. His work, very meticulous and with great decorative qualities, offers a multitude of variations around his favorite motifs: the heart, the star, the flowers, the crosses, the waves, etc. Lempereur-Haut's work was the subject of a major retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in Villeneuve d'Ascq in 1985 and is present in French and Belgian public collections.
