Graduated from the Caen art and media school.
Clément Davout's oil paintings with a monochromatic tendency take flora as their favorite subject. Recomposed from photographs, the images have this somewhat retro and instantaneous patina of the Polaroid, the name of a material polarizing the light which passes through it before being a brand. This work on the image generates a magnetic and padded environment. The biotope of the plants is deafened by an impression of superimposed films.
In other words, the vegetation is always observed through the prism of a veil, a window, a mist ... Therefore, the branches, more or less erased, are imprinted with a condensed melancholy. in too heavy a weather, too strong an emotion, too intense a scene.
