Biography
Michel Dewilde is Belgian, he has lived in France for 30 years.
After a busy life, several jobs, Michel decides to devote himself completely to his art. Passionate about contemporary art, he is a great consumer of art magazines, design magazines, fashion magazines and it is therefore natural that these become his working base.
He selects a detail, a photo, a painting from the newspapers, cuts, assembles, crops, photographs, enlarges, glues and re-glues and starts again until obtaining his final painting. His collages are snippets of life, topicality, but also a journey into contemporary surrealism.
His ultimate and avowed goal: to please us!
