Zhang Enli

Born in China's Jilin Province in 1965, Zhang Enli is an oil painter living and working in Shanghai. Having graduated from the Arts & Design Institute of Wuxi Technical University in 1989, the artist addresses both the familiar and overlooked aspects of everyday life, often creating a visual focus on seemingly insignificant details. He is represented by Xavier Hufkens gallery, Hauser & Wirth and ShanghART Gallery.

The artist has garnered critical acclaim for his work, which has been exhibited in galleries across the globe. Some of his most notable exhibitions include the "Infinite Painting and Global Realism" show, held at the Villa Manin Centro d'Arte Contemporanea, Udine and "Dreaming of the Dragon's Nation: Contemporary Art from China', at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin.
