Biography
An icon of the post-1980s contemporary art movement in China, Zhao Zhao is a multimedia artist, whose work focuses on the relationship between the individual and modern society, cultural diversity and the manifestation of shared ideologies.
Since graduating from the Xinjiang Institute of the Arts in 2003, the artist has featured in some notable exhibitions including “Nothing is True, Everything is Permitted” in 2017 alongside Ai Weiwei, and “Echo Among Geographies” in Hong Kong in 2020, alongside the work of Chen Danqin and Qin Qi.
