Biography
Juan Suê is a Colombian artist born in 1988, whose real name is Juan-Pablo Saldaña.
After doing a training in painting and photography in Bogota, Colombia, he moved to Paris in 2008 and studied contemporary art at the University of Paris VIII while developing new artistic techniques.
Passionate about art since a young age, he made his first pieces when he was a teenager. He plays with the material and the texture to create paintings that are at the boundary betwen figuration and abstraction, where the figures emerge through thick layers of paint. Of oneiric inspiration, his artistic research is based on textes, drawings and photographs to which he gives a new life through his work.
