Sophie de la Happy Funky Family

Born in Paris, Sophie spent a large part of her youth there before moving to the west, not far from the beaches of the Atlantic.

She trained in painting and drawing at the Ateliers de Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris. With a degree in Art History, she is very interested in the techniques of the masters of the past, to which she was initiated by the practice of copying, at the Renaissance workshop.

His paintings are intended to be testimonies of the scenes of life that surround us. In an urban or seaside environment, she paints characters taken from life, walking, talking, reading, dreaming or waking up. It's life, in its banality, in its furtive moments of happiness, of letting go, that interests him.

She paints in oil, most of the time on canvas (and sometimes on wood), and makes her own mediums and varnishes, as in the old fashioned way.

Condensed with color, light and line, his colorful worlds give way to both drawing and painting.

Nothing is more moving than the simple pleasures of everyday life. Sophie is a privileged witness and prolongs with great delicacy her little joys of everyday life.
