Héloïse Colloc'h

France • 1980

Biography

Born in Paris, after literary studies (khâgne), Héloïse entered Decorative Arts in Paris and obtained her diploma in 2006. She began freelancing in graphics and illustration (wallpaper patterns, illustration and writing of children's books, catalog layout).

She became artistic director in an agency dedicated to ephemeral collections of tableware, decorative items and household linens. There, she spots trends, defines and designs collections and their color ranges. If this experience confirmed her taste for color, drawing and the creation of atmospheres, Héloïse felt the need to train further.

She therefore returned to school, at the CNAM, where she learned the basics of marketing and communication. She then took care of the digital communication of a beauty brand, then that of a social association.

This exploratory journey made her aware of her need for independence and imagination, she decided to devote herself to personal creation, and returned to a more manual practice (drawing, collage). In 2016, she joined Les Grands Voisins (former Saint Vincent de Paul hospital, Paris 14th) where she finally had a workshop. There she discovered new techniques (marbling, wood workshop, sewing). There, she successively opened two shared boutique workshops, at the crossroads of art and crafts, and ran the Petits Ateliers Voisins (creative workshops for children) with a friend. During this temporary occupation, a fruitful period, rich in meetings and collective projects, she actively participated in the life of the site, and in the collective exhibitions of the neighboring arts gallery.

In 2019, she created a monumental fresco in the courtyard of the Maurice Ripoche nursery school (Paris 14th) which will essentially be created with and by the children.

She then moved into the shared workshop at the Onzième Lieu, led creative workshops in a school, and took part in exhibitions (Pluri'elles at the Espace Voltaire, open days at Lézarts de La Bièvre, inaugural exhibition at the Galerie dHD at the Bastille Design Center).

Héloïse's recent productions have led her to devote part of her activity to the creation of tailor-made works, designed with the sponsors, according to their colors, their desires, to make their interior more intimate and more tender. On the one hand, unique and lasting creations on mirrors and/or windows, painted at home, directly on customers' furniture. On the other hand, a principle of framed relief paintings, where an expensive photo, entrusted by the client, and layers of marbling, created then cut especially for the work, are superimposed.
