Biography
A former student of the Toulouse School of Fine Arts, Claude Jebeili is an expert in variable geometry. To share his vision of the world with us, he has laid imaginary landscapes on his canvases, crossed by faults, cracks and tears.
The artist plays with imperfections: breaks, friction, and elevations of the pictorial surface become integral elements of the visual language. The painting seems to speak of time, wear, silence, and what resists beneath the surface. Jibeili proposes an aesthetic of asceticism, where every detail counts, where the material itself becomes expression.
At the crossroads of abstraction and informal art, this work questions the notions of fracture, emptiness and balance.
