Presentation

Born in 1971, Corinne Héraud is a French artist.

The artist began her career in 2001, when she discovered the Polaroid at the age of 30. She's a self-taught photographer, inspired by cinema, history of painting and "aesthetic snapshots".

Through her art, Corinne questions identity, image and loneliness, her work borders between introspection and representing human nature. Her images have a mysterious aspect, almost divine, where magic is combined with extreme sensuality and a dash of nostalgia. She obtains this impression of a faded presence through a saturation of contrasts, which manages to create an artificial veil that makes our vision blurry.

Inspired by the Belle Epoque, Corinne Héraud adds pictorialism to photography, in order to create nostalgic and contemporary works.
