Samuel Favarica
France • 1971
Presentation
Born in 1971, Samuel Favarica starts in the early 90's by totally recovering the interior of his apartment with his paintings and sculptures, low reliefs and the layout of miscellaneous items.
Guided by the obsession to avoid the slightest breath of air slip in the absolute osmosis of his creations, Favarica works in notebooks with Indian ink highlighted with watercolor, on walls, cars, with spray paint, before painting with acrylic on classic canvas and producing works on Dibond in brushed aluminium varnished with proofer.
His compositions are strongly colored in bright reds, unexpected blues, and livid greens, where coexist characters with strong and chiselled lines that overlap and intertwine without ever leaving empty spaces. By there unique character as well as the multiplicity of the techniques used, they give to the spectator the impression of an exacerbated baroque style.
