The artist Aldéhy began his career as a painter in 1975 in the South Pacific (Vanuatu). Back from Amazonia after spending 5 years in an isolated village in the country of N'Djouka from 2013 to 2018, he set up his workshop in Soustons in the Landes. His field is painting and drawing.
Above all figurative, Aldéhy is an apostle of light who gives us a nod to Philippe de Champaigne. The themes are numerous and eclectic, however, this apparent diversity remains complementary. The design is well constructed and obviously nothing is left to chance. We discover an exceptional series of portraits: “the cathedrals of lights" fourteen moments of a child's day, with particular acuity, the artist captures the fleeting moment of life. With an assertive technique, the artist delivers us an artificial light, sometimes violent which stops the movements, the intimacy is captured in all its intensity, translating an emotion or a smile.
