Presentation

Artist Statement:

Painting means everything to me, it is something I could never be without. My art is honest. I paint what I love and appreciate. I paint different objects, houses, as I would like to see them. Although they already are as I paint them..., all it takes is to appreciate and love this world. And then you will notice how colourful our world is. That the sky can be yellow or orange, the sun is huge, the old houses at the seaside can be more beautiful than five star hotels or villas. I call things what they are. I give my paintings simple names. Meaning that what you see on the painting – is also how the painting is titled. For me beauty lies in the simplicity, and beauty is everywhere, it is in grass, sand, water, rooftops, absolutely everywhere. People are always looking for a miracle, only we need to understand that people themselves are a miracle and that this world is wonderful.

When I'm painting green grass – I'm thinking of how much I love the smell of grass after rain, and when I'm painting yellow sand and blue sea, I'm starting to think of my native Absheron peninsula. In my works I draw a line around every element, I do that on purpose to emphasize individual everyday objects, to draw people's attention to the beauty of all things. With my paintings I try to give people joy and love. To encourage them to love our world just the way it is so beautifully created by God, rather than to be looking for beauty in uninspiring things created by robots or robot-like people.
