Presentation

Fariba Rahnavard, born in 1984, is a modern and contemporary Iranian painter started painting professionally at the age of 18. After a few years, she entered the Faculty of Art and Architecture of Central Tehran University. Over the years, her focus on the catastrophes of the modern world has shifted to abstract expressionism, often with the theme of history, violence, and catastrophe. Her works have since been featured in biennials and international exhibitions, including the Florence Biennial and the Manhattan International Competition. Some of her works have been published and reviewed in various magazines and newspapers. Fariba is currently studying for a Ph.D. in History of Art in Spain.

In the background of each work of art, there is a narrative, of war, of the event, and of the inner events of an artist that cannot be denied. A narrative of anger, of protest, and anything that frightens the artist. The image in the contemporary world is undergoing great changes, collage is a situation for me or it can be said that it is a very important event that in the space of modernist painting offers very new solutions and opportunities for the artist. The collage has been an exciting achievement for me. Play with all forms, photos as well as colors. Attempts have been made to show that good periods are being destroyed and that peace will never be sustained, and that this is the truth of human life.
