Janet Timmerije

Janet Timmerije has an undeniable artistic talent, and an urge to paint. After an initial career as a Speech Therapist, she pursued an education in art later in life. And with great success!

She has won several art prizes in her homeland of The Netherlands. Timmerije exhibits nationally and internationally on a regular basis, with her work represented at events like the Artexpo NRW (Hamm, Germany), Biennale Chianciano (Tuscany, Italy) and the 4éme Salon Trans'Arts (Cogolin, France). Just to name a few.

Janet's expressionistic, signature style portrays lively, joyful and colorful interpretations of the world around her. Typical Dutch city views, farm life, flowers. With expressive black lines, bright colors, her paintings often invite a smile. Without a clear plan when starting a new canvas, Janet explains: "My paintings are born, not made."
