David Stahl

David Stahl was born in Weston, Ct in 1948, son of famous painter and writer Ben Stahl. His mother, Ella was a Broadway actress and New York model.

Beginning at an early age Stahl was naturally interested in art from time spent in his father's studio watching him paint and from the countless museums throughout Europe and America his parents took him to. This began his schooling in art and painting.
Stahl grew-up in Florida and Southern Spain and has lived in Mexico off and on for 20 years. His studio is in Sarasota, Florida.

For most of his career he was a magazine photographer / writer being published in many publications from National Geographic to Vogue to Surfer, Yachting, Smithsonian, etc. He was awarded the flag from The Explorer's Club in New York in 1982 for an expedition to North Cape York, Australia writing and co-producing a documentary for Ball State University on aboriginal rock art. This program aired twice on PBS. He has also created books on Australia, Jamaica and Mexico plus a contribution to a language textbook for the West Point Military Academy.
