JEAN JOURDAIN (1902 - 1972): Jean Jourdain was a French painter known for his colorful landscapes, city scenes, and figurative compositions. Born in France in 1902, he developed a style influenced by the French Impressionist and Post-Impressionist traditions, using vibrant color, expressive brushwork, and atmospheric effects to capture the character of his subjects. His paintings frequently depict European streets, villages, coastal settings, and countryside scenes, often rendered with simplified forms and a lively, decorative quality.
