Biography
Vincent Chenut was born in 1985 and studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels de la Cambre in Belgium.
His drawings question the relationship between the matter and the surface. Vincent Chenut explores or dissects the paper on which he draws, much as an archeologist or a surgeon.
He scratches, lifts, folds the paper in order to extract what is inside it, the material of the surface.
