Biography

Iyanuoluwa Babalola is a Nigerian Painting Therapeutic Artist and Visual Artist from Fiditi, Oyo State, Nigeria, currently based in Lagos. His practice explores healing, cultural identity, moral teachings, storytelling, historical memory, and childhood experiences. 

Working primarily with acrylic, and oil, His work translates personal and collective experiences into expressive visual narratives that promote emotional restoration and cultural continuity.

Through layered textures and thoughtful composition, his paintings bridge past and present, tradition and modern life. Rooted in personal heritage, he incorporates symbolic fruit earrings inspired by his hometown, Fiditi “The Home of Fruits," using them as visual markers of ancestry, place, and belonging within his evolving artistic language. 

His work has been recognized through exhibitions and selections, including qualification as a Top 100 finalist in the LIMCAF competition.
