Biography

Ahed Izhiman is a Palestinian visual artist whose work explores landscape, memory, environment, water, and the political transformation of place. Working across photography, painting, drawing, video, and mixed media, he combines documentary observation with constructed imagery to examine how occupation and territorial change become embedded in the landscape. His practice often focuses on Jerusalem and its surroundings, using visual experimentation to reflect on memory, geography, and human intervention.

Born in Jerusalem in 1980, Izhiman studied art and photography in Florence and at Musrara College of Fine Arts in Jerusalem. In 2007 he established his own studio in Jerusalem and became involved in art education and workshops, later co-founding ARTLAB, an initiative focused on artistic education and supporting young artists. He has participated in exhibitions and projects in Palestine and internationally, including commissions and exhibitions at the Palestinian Museum, and has developed photographic projects addressing Jerusalem, Palestinian prisoners, and the Dead Sea. Izhiman lives and works in Jerusalem, where he continues his artistic practice.
