Biography

Juncal Alma holds a BA in Fine Arts from UVigo and an MA in Visual Arts from U. do Porto, working between Galicia and Madrid. Her practice questions contemporary painting, approaching it as a process of observation rather than a fixed technique. She expands the limits of the medium by shifting its physical supports: from acrylic resin wall extractions () to transit elements like subway windows and mirrors. Utilizing airbrushing, oil, and digital technology (AI), her work explores memory, affectivity, and transience. Awarded 2nd prize at the Bienal do Eixo Atlántico (2025), she has exhibited at institutions such as MARCO in Vigo.
