Description
This marker drawing explores the tension between chaos and form. The quick and nervous line sculpts a hybrid face. A sharp gaze emerges from an entanglement of dark lines. The composition merges human anatomy and organic elements. Roots and branches insert themselves into the flesh. The mouth, treated with a marked ink density, anchors the composition. The white of the paper accentuates the contrast and the brutality of the stroke. Movement is born from a spontaneous approach. The shapes intertwine to reveal a complex figure. The precision of the marker highlights every wrinkle and every fiber. The floral aspect mixes with a raw aesthetic. The face seems to decompose or reconstruct under our eyes. This 2026 creation questions the boundary between the plant kingdom and the human. The image ends on fluid lines evoking muscles or bark.
Presentation
FROM CHAOS TO THE LIVING BEING
When I paint or draw, I start from chaos, I begin to paint spontaneously simple elements, forms, lines, surfaces arranged without preconceived ideas on the canvas. These elements intertwine, associate and give birth to complex forms. I reveal then by drawing on this bottom: figures, members, bodies, objects.
This creates diversified characters, which come from the chaos and inscribe their reality. It is a spontaneous, physical and spiritual act.
