Original painting
This artwork vividly captures a serene riverside scene featuring a large, multi-deck boat moored alongside a historic tower. The brushwork is expressive, with soft, impressionistic strokes that convey a sense of movement and light. The palette is dominated by cool blues and grays, lending a tranquil and reflective atmosphere to the composition. The boat, with its detailed railings and structure, contrasts against the more abstract hint of the tower's spire, creating a harmonious balance between man-made and natural elements. This painting stands out for its ability to evoke a sense of peacefulness and nostalgia, inviting the viewer to imagine the gentle lapping of water against the hull and the history embedded in the stone tower. An understated yet evocative piece, it captures the elegance of a quiet riverside moment.
Presentation
In 1984, he graduated from the Art and Graphic Department of the KSPU. As a student, his abilities could not go unnoticed; he specialized in both easel and monumental painting. After graduating from the university, he passed on his knowledge to the younger generation, while simultaneously painting. His first exhibition was held in 1994. Exhibitions: Theater “Academy of Movement" in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine. Kryvyi Rih, 1994, “Autumn Vernissage", Kryvyi Rih, 1995. Kryvyi Rih 1995.
His works have been repeatedly presented at international exhibitions and art galleries. And the work “Vacation" won first place in the nomination “plot painting" at the international art contest Ukrainian Art Week. On January 24, 2014, the Ukrainian Post Office issues a postage stamp No. 1352 depicting the painting “Bouquet of Daisies" by Ukrainian artist Andrii Guk. The artist mainly uses a multi-layered painting technique.
Today, Andrii works only as a painter.
Thanks to the author's technique, lively, emotional, vivid scenes from the life of European cities are born on canvas. He has repeatedly donated funds from the sale of his paintings to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
