Description
Sometimes solidarity begins with simply helping someone put herself together before facing the world. Be it sisterhood or self-support.
"Preparations" is one of five paintings from my playful "Mon Quixote" series inspired by Cervantes' Don Quixote, where I reimagined the famous knight as a female protagonist. Like the original novel, the series wanders somewhere between idealism, delusion, courage and stubbornness.

Presentation
Tania Potapenko is a contemporary figurative artist based in Helsinki, Finland. Her work explores the emotional layers of human experience beneath composed exteriors, focusing on moments of inner tension, doubt, and vulnerability expressed through portraiture.
Working primarily with oil and acrylic paint, she also engages with printmaking to expand her artistic language. Trained in academic art during her adolescence, Tania later pursued a career in corporate finance before returning to painting through BFA studies, private programs, and workshops. Her work is exhibited in Finland and is held in private collections across Europe and the United States.
