Description
Ink & acrylic on paper
Framed, 42 x 32 x 2 cm
This abstract composition captures a moment of atmospheric transition. The artist employs a refined mastery of acrylic inks to create a seamless gradient. A dense, earthy ochre dominates the upper half of the canvas. This warm tone descends slowly into a vibrant, burning red. The transition feels organic and fluid.
The lower section settles into a deep, shadowed void. This dark base anchors the piece and enhances the luminosity of the colors above. Every layer is applied with precision to ensure sensory vibration. The surface remains impeccably smooth to optimize chromatic resonance. There are no harsh lines or disruptive forms. Instead, the artwork relies on the emotional power of color. It evokes the quiet intensity of a fading autumn light. The subtle interplay of pigments suggests a horizon line blurred by mist. This atmospheric depth invites a meditative gaze. The final result is a study of light and shadow distilled into a singular, evocative mood.
Presentation
Jeremie Faivre is a French artist born in 1977 who lives and works in Paris, France. He is graduated from Massachussetts College of Art & Design in Boston, MA, United States. He lived in London in 90s before setling in Paris where he studied direct carving sculpture at the workshop of the sculptor Pétrus who is recipient of the Art and Letters medal. Since then, Jérémie Faivre has pursued painting in a self-taught manner and has chosen this medium for his exhibitions. Glass as a medium: Offering a cohesive dialogue between overlapping and revealing forms, Jérémie Faivre's glass works are beyond frames and timeless. Canvas as a receptacle: Jérémie Faivre's interest in chromatic resonance and sensory vibration is omnipresent in his work on canvas. Fine acrylic inks are applied to impeccably smooth canvas for optimal resonance.
