Description
An immersive study of color and atmosphere. This abstract acrylic painting explores a rich spectrum of greens, from deep moss and muted forest tones to warm olive hues. Subtle transitions between shades create a sense of depth, movement, and quiet stillness, evoking the organic qualities of a natural landscape.
The artwork is painted on a distinctive, heavyweight fabric with a pronounced natural grain and rich texture. This tactile surface adds depth and character to the composition, allowing the texture of the material to become an integral part of the painting.
Presentation
Yulia Bulashenko (1990) is a Barcelona-based visual artist working primarily with abstract painting. Her practice explores color as a language through which to approach memory, emotion and the perception of place. Her compositions bring together organic and archetypal forms, intuitive gestures and shifting chromatic relationships, drawing from ancient visual languages and imagined landscapes.
Her background in film and visual media has influenced her approach to atmosphere and visual composition. In recent years, her work has evolved towards larger scales and a more material and research-driven practice, exploring the relationship between landscape, pigment and place through photography and experimentation with natural elements.
