Description
The space fragments into blocks of clear colors. The sky blue dialogues with shades of purple and magenta. These geometric blocks structure the composition with rigor.
A black line, raw and instinctive, comes to break this order. It stretches like a dark root or a branch. The movement is fast. The painting seems to have been thrown onto the canvas to create a striking contrast.
The gesture releases energy. It crosses the colored areas without restraint. This tension between the stability of the forms and the spontaneity of the line brings an organic dimension to the whole.
The material accumulates in places. The deep black opposes the luminosity of the backgrounds. The balance rests on this play of superimpositions. The eye circulates between the precision of the frames and the freedom of the black line. Each chromatic area brings its own light to the image. The final rendering emphasizes a search for form and movement.
Presentation
Surrounded by artists in her family who were able to pass on to her the passion for creation, she grew up surrounded by works that were sometimes complex but also very endearing.
"My creative process begins with drawing, color and creative freedom, developing paintings through play and experimentation. I have a passion for painting landscapes, reflections in water and the sky.
I believe that a painting, an oil, a watercolour or as here pastels, can only really work if the initial drawing or idea has a strong compositional form. I have spent many hours studying artists such as Monet and Van Gogh as well as Art Nouveau.
My love of color is evident in all my works, it is always a joy to discover a vibrant color with its ability to give rise to works that are sometimes abstract or even unidentifiable, and therefore just for the pleasure of contemplation.
In general, my works present an intense use of colors, giving full life to the subject and engaging the spectator to enter a world apart, where the imagination holds a preponderant place."
