Description
The line animates lightly in this figurative composition. The ink and pencil draw two stylized, almost caricatural silhouettes. They revolve around a generous dessert, a true visual center of gravity.
The watercolor technique brings immediate freshness. Touches of bright red punctuate the scene. This pigment highlights the fruits and hearts floating in the air. The white background preserves an essential clarity.
The movement is fluid. One perceives a joyful gesture, a moment suspended between two accomplices. The simplicity of the drawing reinforces the poetic aspect of the encounter.
The artist plays with the contrasts between the rigor of the black line and the transparency of the washes. The rendering evokes a spontaneous illustration. The whole rests on a table with purple reflections. The final detail focuses on a small pot of red flowers placed to the left of the dessert.
