El Toro en la Arena del Sol, 2026

This monumental and energetic acrylic on canvas work is part of the contemporary figurative abstract style with marked influences of synthetic cubism, fauvism, orphism, and Pop Art, distinguished by its dynamic deconstruction of space into mosaic planes and the rhythmic orchestration of its lines of force. The composition presents in an imposing side view in full advance a bull of Lydian, whose powerful back, limbs, and head fragment into a dense network of triangular and polygonal facets delimited by marked black outlines that emphasize the musculature and tension of the movement. The artist deploys a warm and saturated color palette that makes the tones of crimson red, terracotta orange, and ochre yellow burn, balanced by blocks of cobalt blue, turquoise, emerald green, and ivory white on a background of geometric sand and a distant solar star framed in blue. Through this synthetic deconstruction and the clear definition of its contours, the creator seeks to express the vital impulse, the indomitable determination of the wild nature, and the poetic beauty that emerges by transfiguring the power, bravery, and dynamism of the bull into a lyrical kaleidoscope of color, vigor, and plastic transcendence.
