Geometría del Afecto Felino, 2026

Silvia Cereijo

This sober piano work, intimate and imposing in acrylic on canvas, is part of the contemporary figurative abstract style with marked influences of synthetic cubism, Fauvism, orphism, and Art Deco, distinguished by its balanced deconstruction of space in mosaic planes and the rhythmic orchestration of its anatomical and geometric forms. The composition places in a frontal and central frame a woman with a face divided into lyrical facets sitting on a bucolic carmine armchair, cradling in her arms two tricolor felines with penetrating gazes that organically integrate with the folds and curves of her clothing. The artist deploys a warm and rich chromatic palette dominated by tones of carmine red, terracotta orange, ochre yellow, and emerald green, contrasted by deep blocks of violet, black, and neutral tones, delimited by defined and structured linear contours that fragment the geometric background. Through this synthetic deconstruction and the clear definition of its contours, the creator seeks to express the affective complicity, the domestic tranquility, and the poetic beauty that emerge in transfiguring the human figure and the feline company into a lyrical kaleidoscope of color, serenity, and plastic transcendence.
