Elegancia Felina, 2026

This magnetic and hypnotic acrylic work on canvas is part of the contemporary figurative abstract style with marked influences of synthetic cubism, orphism, fauvism, and Pop Art, distinguished by its rigorous deconstruction of space into mosaic planes and the striking expressive force of its facial elements. The composition presents a close-up of the face of a cat with an enigmatic yellow gaze, whose features, whiskers, and perked ears fragment into a complex network of polygonal facets that dynamically merge with the abstract background. The artist deploys a saturated and balanced chromatic palette that makes the shades of cobalt blue, cyan, and turquoise vibrate against ardent blocks of yellow ochre, terracotta orange, emerald green, and carmine red, delicately outlined by sharp and marked black contours. Through this synthetic deconstruction and the clear definition of its geometries, the creator seeks to express the unfathomable mystery of feline nature, the subtle trick of its observation, and the poetic beauty that emerges in transfiguring the gaze of a cat into a lyrical kaleidoscope of color, magnetism, and plastic transcendence.
