Description
This painting is an artistic expression of magical realism, where everyday reality naturally intertwines with the wondrous and the impossible. A girl in a light white dress swings on a giant ocean wave as casually as if water had always been an ordinary playground swing. Here, there is no boundary between the real and the fantastical: the extraordinary becomes part of everyday life, and magic is accepted as something entirely natural.
The enormous wave curls into a dynamic spiral, creating a fantastical space around the central figure. Rich shades of blue, indigo, and violet blend with coral, pink, and golden hues of the sunset sky. Expressive brushstrokes and the dimensional texture of the sea foam emphasize the power and movement of the ocean, while the girl's delicate figure creates a sense of calm and weightlessness. The contrast between the grandeur of the natural elements and the ordinary nature of the scene lends the composition a distinctive poetic quality and a sense of quiet wonder.
In the spirit of magical realism, the fantastical requires no explanation — it simply exists alongside us. The girl neither conquers the wave nor tries to resist the ocean; she trusts its movement and enjoys the moment. This image can be interpreted as a metaphor for inner freedom, embracing change, and the ability to remain serene even in the face of life's powerful currents. The painting invites viewers to see the familiar world from a new perspective and discover that magic can be found in the most unexpected aspects of reality.
With its expressive composition, rich colour palette, and unusual subject, this artwork will make a striking focal point in a modern, eclectic, or creative interior. It is ideal for a living room, bedroom, study, or inspiring creative space, bringing the energy of the ocean, a dreamlike atmosphere, and a sense of limitless possibility.
Presentation
Irina: "I am full-time artist. I find my happiness in doing art. Art is a part of my soul, my energy, my vision of the world. I consider myself a multi-faceted artist, I like to experiment with materials. I realized that I can create beauty not only with paints. I create three-dimensional artworks with volumetric elements. I work in two directions: mosaic paintings and wall sculpture art. I use decorative found objects, mosaic, plaster, wood, shells, crystals, gemstones, anything that can realize my ideas. My art is full of life and joy. The main theme is a Woman, her life, thoughts, feelings, relationships with people and the world".
