Description
A serene vibration of blue captures the eye. This abstract composition explores the delicate balance between patience and precision. The French-Romanian artist employs a rigorous pointillist technique to build a dense field of color. Each small acrylic dot is applied individually onto the wood support.
The result is a rhythmic texture that mimics the organic patterns of nature. This approach reflects a deep influence from Aboriginal Art. The cool tones evoke a sense of fluid movement across the surface. A luminous atmosphere emerges through the subtle interplay of light and shadow.
The minimal color palette emphasizes the tactile quality of the artwork. There is a meditative stillness in this expansive sea of points. The meticulous process transforms a static plane into a living, breathing surface. This 2026 creation merges graphic discipline with painterly intuition. It presents a modern interpretation of ancient dot painting traditions. The composition remains focused on the purity of the gesture and the intensity of the blue hues.
Presentation
Diana Torje is a prizewinning French-Romanian artist born in 1983 & based in Paris whose works have been exhibited in solo and group shows throughout France & worldwide. Inspired by nature and organic forms, the artist developed her own abstract style that combines graphics with painting to create labyrinth like pieces. Inspired by Aboriginal Art, she also creates impressive artworks in the style of pointillism, spending several weeks to apply small acrylic points one by one onto the canvas.
