Description
This 2022 acrylic painting is part of the lyrical abstraction movement. The gaze navigates between colored masses and spontaneous gestures. The work relies on a marked contrast. Deep violet tones oppose bright orange flashes.
The artist here favors the pure expression of color. The movement is fast. The touches are decisive. Projections and black lines are observed which rhythm the composition. The whole creates an immediate visual dynamism.
The influence of the great masters of abstraction is felt in the handling of the planes. The backgrounds overlap. The pigments blend to create changing depths. The light seems to emerge from the ochre areas to pierce the darkness of the blues and purples.
The final rendering leaves room for free interpretation. The material is applied generously. Each brushstroke underlines a precise intention. The composition concludes with subtle graphic details in the lower angles.

Presentation
Alice Achen has painted for 20 years. She took a course for several years at Paris' Fine Arts School Atelier, taught by Martin Bissière.
The painters that influenced her are particularly Zao Wou KI, Rothko, Debré, Joan Mitchell.
She exhibits in some other European countries.
Alice Achen paints works that privilege the power of the expression of colour. In it, she mixes the unexpected of designs and the dynamism of compositions. Thus, she finds a language, in the family of Lyrical Abstraction languages and one can find the influence of this trend's great painters in her.
The face to face with the colours produces emotion, fugitive and complex, and the combinations of red, green or purple blocks create the feeling of energy and determination that come out of her creations.
