Description
The horizon unfolds in a fragile balance. This acrylic painting captures the fluidity of a moving landscape.
The gaze travels between strata of pearl gray and splashes of azure blue. The composition is organized in horizontal bands. The sky and water merge in a play of transparencies.
The gesture is free. The material stretches in broad and rhythmic strokes. The structure rests on color. It suggests nature without ever freezing it.
The pictorial approach dialogues with a musical sensibility. The forms remain open. The observer becomes an actor in the interpretation.
The work evokes the serenity of vast spaces. The light seems to filter through an atmospheric veil.
The final rendering favors the harmony of cool and neutral tones. The panoramic format accentuates the impression of infinite extension. The painting was created in 2026.
Presentation
Nicolas Ruelle is a French painter and composer born in 1969 in Argenteuil. He studied Letters and Arts and then became a composer for the French television. His passion for painting led him to explore this universe as an autodidact. He currently lives and works in Vendee, where he opened a music studio as well as his first painting studio.
Nicolas Ruelle's paintings represent mainly landscapes. He draws his inspirations mostly from the nature that surrounds him , the artist makes his two passions correspond to each other. His musical reseach is reflected on his pictorial creations. the colors play an important role in his pieces, since they are the structure of his paintings. The shapes are not only suggested, giving more freedom for interpretation to the observer. The artist represent nature in motion. His brush does not capture an precise moment, on the contrary it allows the object evolve by itself, as the absolute master of the painting.
Nicoles Ruelle exhibits his work regularly in France and Belgium.
