Description
Acrylic & wood on canvas
A mesmerizing study of patience and precision. This monochrome piece captures a fluid, organic energy through a meticulous application of acrylic. Every point is placed by hand. This disciplined approach transforms the canvas into a tactile landscape.
The composition evokes a sense of movement. Spirals unfurl with hypnotic grace. The white-on-white palette emphasizes light and shadow over color. It creates a depth that invites close contemplation. The artist draws inspiration from natural forms and aboriginal techniques to build this intricate labyrinth.
Minimalism meets complexity here. The rhythmic repetition of dots suggests a flickering flame or a swirling current. It is a dialogue between silence and vibration. The structural rigor of the pointillist style balances the soft, sweeping curves of the design. This artwork stands as a testament to time and meditative focus, resulting in a sculptural surface of luminous purity.
Presentation
Diana Torje is a prizewinning French-Romanian artist born in 1983 & based in Paris whose works have been exhibited in solo and group shows throughout France & worldwide. Inspired by nature and organic forms, the artist developed her own abstract style that combines graphics with painting to create labyrinth like pieces. Inspired by Aboriginal Art, she also creates impressive artworks in the style of pointillism, spending several weeks to apply small acrylic points one by one onto the canvas.
