Description
Painting on 70 mm reinforced cardboard, mounted on a carline plate and protected by a 2mm plexiglass plate.
An abstract composition where the material asserts itself frankly. Red dominates the surface, stretching in broad textured areas. This warm tone dialogues with a dark gray block, anchored in the lower left corner. A bright yellow line comes to highlight this chromatic break, bringing a precise brilliance to the whole.
The work relies on meticulous superposition. The artist uses various binders and pigments to create effects of transparency and density. The gesture is assured. Traces of pencil and charcoal structure the space, guiding the eye towards areas of shadow and light.
The textile support reinforces the visual balance. The surface alternates between smooth areas and rougher passages. This tactile exploration brings the painting to life. The balance is played between the force of the red and the neutrality of the gray. The canvas ends with pink and beige tones, softening the composition on the right edge.
Presentation
My paintings have been exhibited nationally, and some have been purchased abroad. For me, colors and shapes are the basis of abstract painting. I express myself primarily on wood or heavy linen canvases. These supports allow me to feel closer to reality and thus find greater balance in my work. I use various media such as binders, plaster, acrylic, charcoal, pencils, rare pigments, varnishes, and collage in my artistic process.
"The primary purpose of the material is not to give a sense of volume to the work. It must be left in its imprint state, it must remain, nevertheless, as a founding part of the project, upon contact with it the work comes to life."
