Description
"Happy Hills in Full Swing" is a colorful abstract landscape filled with overlapping hills, playful geometric shapes and intricate patterns, creating a lively composition full of movement and positive energy.
Burgundy, mustard, green, deep navy and brown are balanced with soft cream, while touches of bright blue, pink and lavender bring contrast and unexpected pops of color. Repeated arches, curved lines and small decorative details add rhythm and interest, giving each shape its own character while connecting the composition as a whole.
The Happy Hills series (within the Chroma Collection) has always been about exploring color, shape and the simple pleasure of creating something joyful. I love the way these rounded forms can be arranged and rearranged, overlapping and fitting together in different ways. There's something quite satisfying about building up a busy composition and finding a balance between all the individual elements.
Bold, playful and full of energy, this abstract painting is designed to bring warmth, color and a strong sense of character to any room.
Medium: Acrylic paint on gallery grade canvas.
Signed Certificate of Authenticity.
The artwork was painted on un-stretched Italian cotton canvas, with a 6 cm border left for stretching onto a canvas frame. This artwork is shipped rolled in a tube for safe international delivery and can be affordably stretched at your local framing store.
Presentation
Samantha Malone is an Australian/Israeli artist based in Tel Aviv. Her work is about movement, balance, and the way shapes and color interact on the canvas. She is interested in creating compositions that feel rhythmic and alive, where structure exists but doesn't feel rigid. Geometry often sits at the base of the work, softened by intuitive marks and a more fluid process.
She works with acrylic paint and mixed media, building layers of color, line, and pattern. Shapes are adjusted, broken apart, and reworked, with sometimes parts of the surface scraped back to reveal what came before. This layering adds depth and keeps the work open and dynamic.
Color is central to her art practice. She use contrast and repetition to create a sense of flow, inviting the eye to move across the surface and linger. The paintings are abstract, but they aim to feel playful, considered, and connected, leaving space for the viewer to bring their own meaning to the work.
Her works can be found in private collections across Europe, the UK, the USA, Asia, Canada, Australia, the UAE and Israel.
