Description

Soft peach and cream tones stretch across a deep blue horizon, transforming a river sunrise into a minimalist study of light and time. The photograph belongs to a series created along the Volga and Don Rivers at dawn, where long exposure turns natural landscapes into fluid, almost painterly compositions.

The image is built from horizontal movement. Warm apricot, blush, beige, and pale ochre gradually merge with cooler gray and blue tones, while the dark horizon remains as the only sharply concentrated element. This simple division gives the work structure while preserving its sense of openness.

Long exposure removes most recognizable detail and allows the camera to draw with light. Sky and water become elongated bands of color, creating an image that sits naturally between landscape photography and abstraction. The transition from night into morning becomes the true subject.

The artwork will appeal to collectors who enjoy minimalist photography, river landscapes, and quiet contemporary art. Its soft peach palette and deep blue horizon can bring warmth and calm to a living room, bedroom, office, or meditation space.

Presentation

Inna Leonova is a contemporary artist and photographer. She graduated from the Institute of Visual Arts with a Master of Visual Arts degree.

In 2025–2026, her work was featured in the Pulse of the City exhibition in Volgograd, organized by the Faculty Media School network, and she participated in several national open calls. In 2026, she won the Art with Atmosphere competition. Her upcoming projects include a solo exhibition with The Gallerist project and a publication in Art-Agent magazine.

Inna works at the intersection of architectural geometry and the fluidity of nature, creating urban and landscape images that blur the boundary between documentation and perception. Drawing on visual languages associated with long exposure, optical distortion, double exposure, color dissonance, and abstraction, she transforms familiar places into meditative spaces where reality appears fluid and constantly shifting.

Rather than recording a landscape as it is, Inna Leonova explores how it changes through the act of looking. Her works invite slow observation, encouraging viewers to notice subtle shifts of color, rhythm, and form that often remain invisible in everyday life. She is currently developing a new series of figurative abstractions that continues her exploration of perception, atmosphere, and the emotional relationship between people and place.
