Antonio MOLINA proposes a particular variation of the "reclining figure", a female nude, a theme that Antonio MOLINA has been exploring tirelessly for years. This classic theme has been successfully treated by the greatest: Picasso, Miro, Moore, Laurens,... but, isn't it said that one can only advance by standing on the shoulders of giants?

Antonio MOLINA experiments with all the possibilities of the stylization of organic forms by inventing new combinations, but keeps the taste of the representation of human features, even if sometimes this link is tenuous, and can go until the rupture. It is the edge of the razor, that falls very quickly on the bad side, but it is the risk of the creation. This path towards the limit of human representation is influenced by primitivism and biomorphism and refers directly to the primitive arts, to African or Mexican art. Antonio MOLINA remains fascinated by the art of the Cyclades or the archaic goddesses.

Antonio MOLINA Sculptor; his compositions in volume are the fruit of a long preparatory work. At first, he realizes tens of drawings until the maturation and which are used as model. that enables him to apprehend the form under all the angles.

Often the objective of the sculpture is forgotten along the way.

These researches end up becoming finished works themselves.
