Description
Here's the result; until the next intervention perhaps?
The idea of a martyr, representative of deep America, is one of the main axes of Marcos Lopez's work.
"The work of painted photos is a work of self-healing my fears and apocalyptic fantasies. By putting them on paper, I take them out of my body, for a moment at least."
Based on the portrait of the martyr made by the photographer in 2003, the artist has produced dozens of reversions of the original work, in different formats. Here is the reproduction of one of these versions made in painting on paper in 2022.
“Man endures the pain of five centuries of colonialism and social injustice.”
