Roboclusion XXL baby foot, 2025

Vincent Sabatier

This bold work represents a sculpture in the form of an iconic construction figure, revisited with originality.

Dominated by a striking motif of black and white soccer balls, it immediately captures the viewer's attention. The sculpture's partial transparency creates a fascinating contrast with the opaque patterns, playing with light and shadow. Highly stylized, this piece merges popular culture and contemporary art, offering a reflection on the interaction between play and art. Its smooth surface and clean lines add a sophisticated dimension. The work stands proudly, making a commanding presence that challenges the viewer on the essence of creativity and innovation. A visual ode to the universal passions of sport and childhood, this sculpture embodies the fusion of innocence and modern art, while paying homage to the playful spirit.

The "Roboclusion" series explores the integration of iconic figures from popular culture into transparent resin sculptures. Each work features a character or emblematic object encapsulated in a LEGO form, symbolizing the fusion of contemporary art and childhood toys. The works play with transparency and reflection, creating intriguing visual effects and inviting reflection on the value and perception of everyday objects.
