Poisson Discus turquoise - Série sculpture murale en verre, 2026

Sonia Caillon dite "Soñar"

This wall sculpture captures the essence of an aquatic world. Here, glass becomes a malleable and luminous medium. The silhouette of a discus fish is precisely delineated. A dominant blue defines the composition, while touches of orange and red provide rhythm to the surface.
The fusing technique brings a remarkable depth to the piece. The play of transparency allows light to pass through, revealing shifting reflections. Fine colored striations emphasize the movement of the fins, and pigmented dots scatter across the fish's body.
The artisanal approach is inspired by traditional fire-working craftsmanship. Every detail is designed to evoke the fluidity of water. This decorative piece combines technical rigor with natural inspiration. It presents itself as a fragment of a reef frozen in the transparency of glass. The object is distinguished by its signature and its unique character.
