Description
This bronze sculpture explores the enchantment of a tree trunk. The material seems raw.
The work relies on a tactile approach. The modeling favors instinct. The irregular surfaces guide the eye. They reveal a physical dialogue with the metal.
The rocky aspect evokes an organic origin. The bronze takes a dark and matte hue. The base anchors solidly in space.
Each curve suggests a contained emotion. The work invites a sensory perception. It ends with an irregular and textured plinth.
Presentation
My sculptural work stems from a radical transformation of my perception of the world and my inner reconstruction.
Having become completely blind at the age of twenty-five following a road traffic accident, I had to let go of my visual perception and shift it towards a tactile experience.
Through touch, the material has become a space for direct, physical and sensual dialogue. Clay, through its texture, consistency and grain, guides my hands towards an intuitive, instinctive and deeply emotional creative process. It is no longer merely a material: it is a living presence, a creative partner, a necessity.
My creations do not merely represent forms; they tell a story and explore our relationship with the body, identity and perception.
My intention is to convey a universal message, inviting us to look beyond appearances to gain a deeper understanding of the human condition.
